London has crossed the millennium by offering a makeover. Boosted by economic growth, it has offered a spectacular architectural facelift, affirming its role as multicultural metropolis.
Cosmopolitanism and tolerance, entrepreneurship, higher wages and (almost) full employment have attracted a new wave of immigration to the fall of 2008.
Although the crisis has changed the situation, London always has the odds and young Frenchies are nearly 300 000 have crossed the Channel to try their luck in this European Eldorado, become the de facto economic and cultural capital of the Old Continent.
